On Saturday, the star centre and captain of the Swift
Current Diamond Energy Wildcats became the fifth player in the history of the
SFMAAAHL to score 70 career regular season goals. With her Wildcats trailing
the visiting Notre Dame Hounds 2-0 at the Fairview Arena in Swift Current, Lind
netted her 70th career goal 77 seconds into the second period to cut
the Hounds lead to 2-1.
With the goal, Lind also recorded her 127th
career regular season point to move alone in seventh place on the SFMAAAHL’s
all-time scoring list ahead of former Saskatoon Stars captain Lauren Zary, who netted
44 goals and 82 assists for 126 points in 103 regular season games played from
2008 to 2012.

Kas Kingston and Jillian Schmit netted singles in the first period to stake the Hounds out to their two-goal edge.
Amaya Giraudier made 20 saves to pick up the win in goal for
the Wildcats. Kaitlyn Ross turned away 29 shots to take the setback in goal for
the Hounds.
On Sunday, the two clubs went at it again at the Duncan
McNeil Arena in Wilcox, Sask., and the Wildcats skated away with a 3-0 victory.
Working on a power play at the three minute mark of the
second period, Lind and Sara Kendall combined to set up Carissa Hogan for her
third goal of the season to give the Wildcats a 1-0 lead. Just past the midway
point of the second, Crystal Wale scored an unassisted goal for the Wildcats to
give them a 2-0 edge.
Lind sealed the victory scoring an empty-net goal with 1:54
remaining in the third period.
Giraudier turned away 18 shots to pick up the shutout in
goal for the Wildcats, who improved to 5-6-1. Rayanne Mckenzie turned away 24
of 26 shots to take the setback in goal for the Hounds, who fell to 2-7-2.

She is tied with active Saskatoon Stars forward Anna Leschyshyn for sixth on the SFMAAAHL’s career regular season scoring list.
Leschyshyn posted her 130 career points on 61 goals and 69 assists.
Kyle, Sask., product Brienna Gillanders sits alone in fifth
spot on the SFMAAAHL’s career scoring list. She picked up 131 career regular
season points on 57 goals and 74 assists collected in 111 games played from
2006 to 2010 with the Wildcats and Hounds.

Stars romp to 14-0

On Saturday at the Art Hauser Centre in Prince Albert,
captain Grace Shirley and Makena Kushniruk netting singles in the first period
to push the Stars out to a 2-0 lead.
The Bears battled back in the second with Brooklyn Anderson
scoring with 1:25 to play in the frame to cut Saskatoon’s edge to 2-1.
Kaitlin Jockims sealed the Stars 3-1 victory scoring at the
5:58 mark of the third.
Arden Kliewer made 18 saves to pick up the win in goal for
the Stars. Lexi Beuker turned away 24 shots to take the setback in goal for the
Bears.
Sunday’s rematch at the Art Hauser Centre was dominated by
the Stars. Saskatoon stormed out to a 4-0 lead in the first period and cruised
to an 8-2 victory.
Kushniruk had a pair of goals and an assist to help power
the Stars offence. Defender Abby DeCorby had a goal and two assists for the
Stars, while Jockims picked up three helpers.
Shirley scored twice for the Stars, while Halle Helperl,
Ashley Messier and Haylee Kos had singles.
Miranda Heidt and Alli Soyko responded with singles for the
Bears.
Kaitlyn Cadrain made 17 saves to pick up the win in goal for
the Stars. Scout Anderson started in goal for the Bears, who fell to 7-6-1,
turning away three of nine shots sent her way. Beuker stopped 16-of-18 shots
coming in for a relief appearance.
The Stars resume their regular season schedule on Dec. 15,
when they host the Melville Prairie Fire at 7:30 p.m. at Merlis Belsher Place. The
Bear return to regular season action on Dec. 15, when they travel to Swift
Current to take on the Diamond Energy Wildcats at 7:45 p.m. at the Fairview
Arena.
Sharks vault into third in SFMAAAHL

On Saturday at the Battleford Arena, the Sharks built a 2-1
lead after the first period and skated to a 6-2 victory.
Veteran 17-year-old forwards Madison Sansom and Ali Aitken
had big nights for the Sharks. Sansom had a pair of goals and three assists,
while Aitken had a hat trick and an assist. Madison Glynn had a single for the
Sharks.
Kierson Hennes had a goal and an assist for the Gold Wings,
while Dakota Bowler had a single.
Haylie Biever turned away 23-of-24 shots starting in goal
for the Sharks. Yelena Zaleschuk stopped five-of-six shots playing the last
9:56 of the third period in relief.
Daneka Dickson turned away 20 shots to take the setback in
goal for the Gold Wings.
On Sunday at the Battleford Arena, the Sharks blanked the
Gold Wings 4-0.
Sydney Rowley scored twice for the Sharks, while Jordyn
Blais and Aitken netted singles.
Biever turned away 30 shots in goal for the Sharks as they
improved to 9-6-1 to sit third in the SFMAAAHL standings. Amara Lewendon turned
away 45 shots to take the setback in net for the Gold Wings, who fell to 0-15.
The Sharks resume their regular season schedule on Dec. 15,
when they travel to Regina to face the Rebels at 7:45 p.m. at the Co-operators
Centre. The Gold Wings return to regular season action on Dec. 15, when they
travel to Wilcox, Sask., to face the Notre Dame Hounds at 2 p.m. at the Duncan
McNeill Arena.
Goalies shine in clash between Rebels and
Prairie Fire

The two clubs faced each other at the Chief Denton George
Memorial Multiplex on the Ochapowace First Nation. The Rebels and Prairie Fire
battled to a 0-0 draw through regulation and two five minute overtime periods.
Over 70 minutes of hockey, Chantel Weller turned away 39
shots for the Rebels, and Cheyenne Jamieson stopped 49 shots for the Prairie
Fire.
During the tiebreaking shootout, both goalies stopped the
first three shooters each faced. Prairie Fire 17-year-old defender Allison
Hayhurst scored in the fourth round of the shootout to give her side a 1-0
victory in the tiebreaking session and a 1-0 overall victory in the game.
With the win, the Prairie Fire improved to 6-5-1 to sit
fifth overall in the SFMAAAHL. The Rebels remained second in the SFMAAAHL as
their record moved to 11-2-1.
The Prairie Fire resume regular season action on Dec. 15,
when they travel to Saskatoon to face the Stars at 7:30 p.m. at Merlis Belsher
Place. The Rebels return to regular season action on Dec. 15, when they host
the Battlefords Sharks at 7:45 p.m. at the Co-operators Centre.
